Acrylic-Mounted Artwork by Ken Beerger: Scrimmage

✚✚✚ Acrylic-Mounted Artwork by Ken Beerger: Scrimmage

Float-on-the-wall display format using acrylic sheets to seal the image and give it extra luminance. The artwork is shipped ready to hang with french cleats for very simple attachment to the wall. Every item is part of a limited edition with a certificate of authenticity and has been produced with all-archival materials in the same quality used in galleries and museums. I have been enjoying the art of photography since my teenage years. Formal training was completed at the Antonelli School of Photography in Philadelphia,USA in the early 70's where we only shot in large film format. This if nothing else taught me to develop a keen eye and patience. The camera equipment was cumbersome and you would get in the field with maybe 12 film packs, I kind of miss it. My career is as a Paramedic in a challenging 911 system. Photography is my elixir for what ails the aching mind and body. Enjoy. Artists comment: I shot this the night before Hurricane Irene hit our town. The team is typical of any high school's varsity having a pre season scrimmage. A very heavy downpour had just occurred and the air was thick with moisture. I liked the way the stadium light funneled through it and how the eye is distracted from the team to the figure leaning on his umbrella.
