4x2 (4:2) HDMI Video Matrix Switch Switcher Selector + 3D EDID RS232 Support with Remote. The SB-5642LCM is our next-generation 4x2 HDMI Matrix Routing Switch, designed for multiple sources and displays. There are 4 HDMI inputs and 2 independent outputs located on the back panel. This unit has EDID management and EDID memory, including a new feature called Fast Speed Start which permits switching between HDMI sources in as little as 2 seconds. The SB-5642LCM supports bandwidth of 6.75Gbps and data rates up to 2.5 Gbps, enabling 1080p HDMI formats, UXGA DVI resolutions, and excellent passing of 3D content.

Building upon our successful 5642 series, the SB-5642LCM's front panel includes an LCD display with two data display lines. Control is achieved through manualy push buttons located on the front panel, and externally through a RS-232 connection or through the IR Remote Control. The RS-232 connection allows functions to be controlled by systems like Control4 (drivers included) or any computerized software/hardware control system.

When using the SB-5642LCM Matrix Routing Switch, one-to-many or many-to-one, or any combination of connections can be established. Because this is a matrix switcher, you can easily connect any of the four input sources to one or both output displays simultaneously, eliminating the need to constantly re-route video input and output cables.
